Поговорим о Дивье/Lets Talk About Divya

divyafan: That's true, and I hope and believe that God will give her another, but good, chance to live the rest of her life.

Chameli: Yeah, and her mother was quoted as saying, “She lived as much as she was destined to. She gave us all she could. Perhaps she repaid a debt. Once she randomly said, ‘Daddy, give all that I have to bhaiyya.’. We don’t want to cry and give her pain. When tears well up in my eyes, I control myself.”

divyafan: I still can't believe. she didn't looked like a person which life is destined to be short or a person with debt... From all her presence there was emanation of force, life, freshness, devotion to work and art...

Chameli: divyafan пишет: From all her presence there was emanation of force, life, freshness, devotion to work and art... Very true

LoveDivya: It's just a sad thing for me as she is my ONLY favourite actress.. I mean I like many actresses and I think they're nice and okay but none of them has ever been a real fav of mine. Only Divya....

divyafan: LoveDivya пишет: It's just a sad thing for me as she is my ONLY favourite actress.. I mean I like many actresses and I think they're nice and okay but none of them has ever been a real fav of mine. Only Divya.... For me it's the same! She made me fan of Indian movies and I still can't find more beautiful, charming and talented actress than her. And what I value much in her is her typical Indian beauty.

Chameli: She's definitely in my top favourites. There was just something about her, you know?

LoveDivya: Chameli пишет: There was just something about her, you know? I agree :) she's gorgeous

Shilpa: Девчонки,ангоязычные вы мои,наболтали целую кучу,а я ни слова не поняла! Вы хотя бы переводите нам-русскоязычным,о чем речь!Интересно же!

misss: For me Divya was one of the best actresses and was the most beautifull for me too. I always liked her. She is the only one I like. That doesn't mean other actresses are not good. All are good, but in my eyes and my choice Divya was the best.

divyafan: misss пишет: but in my eyes and my choice Divya was the best These are the right words for me, too!

LoveDivya: misss пишет: All are good, but in my eyes and my choice Divya was the best. I completely agree! I like many actresses and many are stunning, like Madhuri etc. but Divya was the best one of all

divyafan: In memory of our beloved Divya!

divyafan: Деченки, вот что интересное нашла о смерти Дивьи, но на английском, зато здесь некоторые интересные факты и вопросы. вот: What happened actually to Divya Bharathi....? Divya Bharati & Marilyn Monroe I have always seen some parallels between Marilyn Monroe and Divya Bharati. Both of them were the products of unhappy marriages , had a deprived childhood and craved for love and reassurance.Despite a successful career in films , they had mood swings and suffered from insomnia.Marilyn would take sleeping pills and have daily psychiatric sessions.Divya too would lose herself in sleeping pills , alcohol , excessive smoking and drugs and was being treated by Dr. Shyam Lulla , the psychiatrist husband of her dress designer , Neeta Lulla. The similarity just begins here. ... So did Divya.Monroe was found dead of an overdose of sleeping pills , and Divya was under the influence of drugs and alcohol when she fell to death. The question in both cases was the same - Suicide , accident or murder.Did Monroe kill herself in a fit of depression.Or , addicted to sleeping pills for her insomnia , did Marilyn accidentally swallow more pills than she could handle.Or was she killed by the CIA as she was becoming a nuisance to John F.Kennedy , the President of America , with whom she had spent several passionate nights in the White House.Did Divya jump down the five floors of her flat as an act of killing herself.Or did she consider herself indestructible and jump like it was just another scene from a film which could be replayed.Or did she fall accidentally while sitting on the parapet of her fifth floor balcony.Or was she picked up by an ISI agent , or even her husband , and flung down five floors to shut her mouth.Or was there a Dawood Ibrahim connection. The American public has tried to find the answers about Marilyn's death. There have inquiries into the manner of her death and there have been more investigative books , in the last four decades , on Monroe and her death than on any other Hollywood icon. But the mystery remains unsolved. There has not been any major inquiry into Divya's death except by the Coroner's Court in Bombay and the verdict was less than satisfactory. ... There have not been any investigative articles or books on Divya Bharati and her death. Marilyn Monroe died in 1962 , thirty-six years ago , and Divya fell to her death six years ago.One has gone on to become a legend and the other is almost a forgotten name.Film glossies who put her on their covers have stopped writing about her after a while. When she was living , film makers called her 'the next Sridevi' , but after her death there has not been any assessment of her work , either. I have often wondered about this , specially as we are the people who worship and idolize the dead. There are roads and chowks named after Nargis Dutt and Jaikishan , awards after Dadasaheb Phalke and books about Guru Dutt , Meena Kumari and Madhubala. There are films about Raj Kapoor and Meena Kumari. But Divya has been forgotten. The girl might not have been a great actress - who is? - but she certainly was a reasonably good actress , and the mystery about her death remains.Divya has not got that stature for several reasons.First of all , her own family and husband never bothered to keep her memory alive.Apparently , she was just their meal ticket.Doing anything in her memory wouldn't mean much to them. The TV channels could do something , but here again , commercialism drowns everything else.Rightly or wrongly , the channels seem to believe that only the new generation of stars are a draw. The channels have become like films.Few would now be interested in watching a film with Divya Bharati and not many channels think that many would wish to see a film-based on the life of the late actress. Equally curious is the silence which enveloped the people close to her when she died. There were strange about-turns in the statements they gave to the cops , and there were several sinister lapses in the investigation and inquiry... Neeta Lulla stated in her first police statement that when Divya returned home , she was accompanied by her brother Kunal and father O.P. Bharati. ... Perhaps Mr Bharati saw something and might have blurted it out under the tough police questioning.Sajid himself was under a cloud. Not only did the newspapers make much of his underworld connections - a fact he hotly denied - but he too blundered through his police statement. He had claimed that he was out when Divya jumped/fell/was flung to death , five floors down.Where had he gone.He first mentioned the name of Pankaj Kharbanda and later changed his statement and said that he had gone to meet Kulbhushan Gupta , a producer friend from whom he had bought the flat he and Divya occupied. That Divya was high on drugs and alcohol ( rather low since she was described as 'very disturbed' ) was corroborated by all , but more suspicious was her climbing up the balcony and standing on the parapet without anyone trying to stop her. In the middle of a conversation , Neeta Lulla found that Divya was standing on the parapet. She hadn't seen her climbing the window and passing through the clothlines. This seems unbelievable , as usually one would be looking towards the star present , specially if she is a client and you're talking to her.And strangely , neither did her husband , Dr Shyam Lulla , who was treating her , notice it till she was already standing on the parapet.Everyone tried to give the impression that Divay was used to standing on the parapet. And yet , the three persons present at the time of incident claimed to be 'shocked' to see her standing on the parapet of her 5th floor flat.
